General Patrick Ronayne Cleburne was born in County Cork, Ireland, on St. Patrick's Day, March 17, 1828. Came to America in 1849, and settled in Hellena, Arkansas. Cleburne was one of the Confederacy's finest commanders. Known as the (Stonewall of the West.) He killed action at the Battle of Franklin, Tennessee, Nov. 30, 1864, while bravely leading a charge.
